I changed my room around and when I ran auto setup which worked with no problems the first way I had the room set up, and then the second way I had it setup I was getting the large and small speaker issue but it still set the distance and trim.Well now i moved the system again and I am having a strange problem, the auto setup is telling me that the surrounds are not connected but they are and while the auto is running it says yes as it plays the tone thru them.In manual the tones play in the proper speakers.

anyone have this problem that can offer a solution??

thanks

i had similar problems with auto detect not working properly..

so i adjusted the crossover for the fronts.. and set them to small, then I turned Tone Defeat ON.. and it worked.. before that I would get the small fronts, large surrounds issue.

all speakers are set to small.
the auto setup was working fine, the only thing that changed was speaker and seating location.

tone defeat is on also

Lou,

try again adjusting the crossover for the front speakers. to maybe 100Hz or higher. i had to play with my crossover settings too.

I just remembered too. if your subwoofer is turned up to loud.. it won't complete the set up. turn the sub down low.

good luck. Al

Off topic, how do you like your 755 compared to your bryston?

I dont feel it to be fair to compair a 2ch amp that cost twice as much as the 5ch amp, plus it has 100 more watts per channel.

the Bryston drives my speakers with tighter bass and a warmer midrange wich seems to expand the sound stage.the 755 drives my center and surrounds nicely, the only big difference is that when the volts drop the 755 will start to buzz and the Bryston will stay quiet(even with the power conditioner).
