If all speakers are set to "Large", does the 990 apply the speaker distance settings to the 7.1 inputs? I understand that by selecting "Large" on the 990, it bypasses bass-management, but what about the speaker delay?

I typically run my Denon 5900's analog outputs to the 990's 7.1 inputs. The 5900 allows me to select crossover points and speaker delay for the 5.1 outputs. I want to avoid the 5900 AND the 990 applying delay.

Perhaps the speaker distances only apply to Dolby Digital/pro-logic II sources and not to red-book CD played through 5.1 outputs.

Thanks,
Steve

When all speakers are set to "large," the 7.1 Direct input bypasses the DSP section entirely - including bass management, speaker distance settings, and channel trim settings. The Denon will only apply its bass management, speaker delay, and channel trim settings to analog outputs.
