Just got the 7125 today and the 990 sounds great. My question is in regard to channel levels. I set volume to 0. Got 75d w/the following... Frnt Left -11 Center -3 FR -8
Surr R +2 SL +3. My 1070 didn't have these levels in the same room. Does this sound right. If I want more volume can I increase all channels by the same amount. For ex I would like the center at +3. I would then have to increase the rest by 6. Does that sound ok.

You'll definitely find yourself using different settings with a different amp in the mix.

Before you add 6dB to everything, I'd like to ask why you want to change the center to +3 instead of -3. The calibration should yield the same volume because you've calibrated to the same reference level in both cases. If you find yourself wanting to turn it up five or six dB higher than you used to, you absolutely could bump all your levels up by a few dB.

I have a tendency to like to play movies/music fairly loud. If I left everything where it is now I would be in the -10 to -15 range. For ex I am listening to Elton Johns Madman across the water sacd right now at -13. It does sound great so I just may leave well enough alone. I'm just not accustomed to have most of the channels in the negative.

every piece of home theater gear i've ever owned all had different settings for volume. I've never had two that were ever the same.

It's no problem if some or all of your volume levels are in the negative. If they are all properly calibrated.. i wouldn't monkey around with them.

just kick back and enjoy.

so who cares if your volume is now -12 instead of +4? still sounds good and the volume is at your likeing right?
