I have my fronts set to large and my center and surrounds set to small. NO subwoofer - my fronts go down to about 33 htz clean. I have the software upgrade.

Will the crossover settings affect the center and surround speakers because they are set to small, even though the fronts are large and no sub?

Also, how do I turn on tone defeat?

Thanks!

The crossover setting for the fronts will be disregarded, but the small speakers (center and surrounds) will steer their bass to the large fronts based on the crossover points specified for them and the LFE track (when there is one) will also be redirected to the fronts. All of that assumes you've disabled the subwoofer, of course.

The "TONE" button on the remote will give you access to some tone controls. You can press it until the front panel says "DEFEAT OFF" and then use the navigation buttons to switch from "OFF" to "ON".
