I'm not so in love with my 9990 these days. But it may be me. Is till like it. But the lustre is going.

1) I seem to be getting voice synch issues. On Friday we tried to watch Die Hard in DTS and it was seeriously out. Switched to DD and all was fine. The same issue recently occured with another DVD in DD. I ended up switching the amp off and then back on.

2) How do you attach two subs to the XLR outputs or am I doing?

3) Sometimes the amp won't switch inputs when it's first turned on - very strange

4) The amp looks horrid when it gets dusty

I'd appreciate any help

Thx
Rob

Rob,
Don't now if you are a Sony fan - but Sony has a nasty rep for syn issues. They like to keep it quite. I have had personal experience.
Just my 2 cents.

I have not had syn issues. But other might have.

I sometimes have syn issues, but it has been due to the HD broadcast that Directv has been putting out that is off, as it is doing it in 2 seperate systems in my house, and is only on specific programs and not constant.

Aside from adjusting for the video delay produced by certain components (HD cable box, upscaling DVD player), the only sync issue I've encountered regularly is the HD feed from one local station - it's pretty much gone away now, but for the first year that I had HD they seemed unable to sync audio and video (the error showed up in both OTA broadcasts and over cable). The 990 itself hasn't caused any sync problems (it's just helped fix problems produced by other components' video processing delays).

I assume that the two subs you are connecting are equipped with XLR inputs. There are some splitter cables or devices available for XLR connections. This thread might be helpful - there are links to a splitter cable or two and a splitter box.
