1. I have the sub/LFE signal split with a "y" adapter to send a signal to a pair of Infinity Intermezzo subs. Now, my son wants a gaming chair (BTW, I'm not sure if this is the new chair that CNET profiled from Limisosurce at the CES). Is there any way to split the LFE signal again (without signal loss or deterioration)? Or is there such a thing as a 3 or 4 end "pig tail" splitter instead of a y adapter?

Ummm... shocked I actually have the subs receiving signals from the two outputs on the 990, obviously without a y adapter (I've forgotten how well this thing was designed... and I probably have early-onset altzheimers (at least, that's what my wife says). I still (might) need a 3d LFE signal...

2. I have a Dish Network 942 receiver. I made a half-hearted attempt to program the 990 remote with that receiver info and was unsuccessful. Neither could I program the Dish remote to control the 990. Any suggestions? Also, how about the possibility of programming the 990 remote to control my new Toshiba HDDVD D1 (which basically has a worthless remote)?

I, too have dishnetwork receiver (older model 721).
Was unable to program the 990's receiver.
Any ideas or codes that someone has would be helpful. If I remember correctly, the 990 manual has a code for echostar which is dishnetwork. Didn't work.

1. The 990 has two sub outputs, so you could split both of them to get four subwoofer signals without any significant signal drop.

2. You may be able to find some info about both the Dish Network remote and even the Toshiba at HiFi Remote (a site dedicated to the various UEI remotes sold as One For All or Radio Shack brands; the 990's UEI Catalyst 48 uses the same code database). I wouldn't be overly optimistic about the Toshiba, but it's worth a try.

Thanks Gonk. If I split one sub output, should I split them both? ie, if I put a y adapter on one output with the boom chair & a subwoofer, should I put a y adapter on the other one even if there is only the subwoofer connected to one of the y "tails"?

I would use a Y adapter to feed your two subs and that would leave the other output on the 990 for the boom chair. The two outputs on the 990 are both a mono signal so splitting one of them will be the same as what you have now. Then with another Y adapter you could connect two gaming chairs!
