I have seen some old posts asking what code is entered in the 990 remote to control the OPPO DVD but have not seen any responses. Does anyone have this code?

UEI's (the remote's manufacturer) code for the Oppo is, I believe, DVD 1224 but I do not think it is loaded on the 990's remote.

I knew there was a thread along these lines somewhere around here, and I recently stumbled across two UEI codes for the OPPO players. The first one (1224, the one Dundas already mentioned) is for the white remotes originally shipped with the OPPO 971. There is also a code for the newer black remotes: 1525. I don't know if either are loaded on the 990's remote.

So, how do you program the 990 remote? I'd like to program the Oppo in it as well. Does the 990 owners manual explain how? Maybe I should read it...

The 990's manual covers it pretty nicely - just remember that the AUX device button is the one set up to handle DVD player codes and you'll be fine.

I'm going to resurrect a couple old threads here in order to point folks toward a new thread: this 981HD/970HD beta firmware thread has some information about a trick for letting owners of the 981HD or 970HD control their player with some common DVD player codes. I haven't seen any such beta firmware for the 971H yet, but maybe they'll be able to port this code over to the 971H as well.
