I am going to purchase some new audio equipment. I have decided to audition the orb audio speakers due to the high WAF. However, I am debating between the 990 and the 970. My family room is 20x20x10. I was wondering if I should get the 990 with the 7025 or the 970 with the 7125.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

The 990 will give you a nice upgrade sonically over the 970 independent of the amp used - given the choice and with small, efficient speakers in the system, I'd go with the 990/7075 over the 970/7125 (assuming the budget doesn't make the 990/7125 an option).

20 x 20 x 10 is a pretty big room. 4000 square feet. I would try and get the 7125 or bigger if you can.

I decided to go with the 990/7125/L1 sub (which I purchased today). I also ordered the orb audio speakers, but went with the L1 sub instead of the orb package sub. I had listened to the Gallo's and found the speaker package lacking bass, so I thought the orbs might have the same problem.
