Have the 990 running the show, and a Harmony 880 to do the remote control. One issue I haven't been able to resolve, is that when I power on using one of the activity buttons on the 880, the 990 always goes to "TV", which is what I named one of the inputs on the 990.

So then I have to choose the activity again, and all is well. Not earth-shattering, but it's weird.

You may need to go to Harmonys sight and add some delay times to the remote .

syvlvr,

I've had the Harmony 880 since Christmas and I really like the features but I've also noticed it does some things that are odd. I've had the same problem powering on using one activity and the 990 goes to the wrong input. I program a custom button in each activity with the the correct 990 input. If the 880 misses I just press the custom button with the correct input.

Another issue I've been having is that the 880 won't remember standard 990 functions (DTS Mode, Dolby Mode, Stereo) but only on one of my Activities. Apparently the solution is to have the 880 "learn" the RAW codes from the 990 remote. That's a little goofy when the same 990 functions work under a different Activity. Got a work around for this problem?

Syvlvr,

I've been having the issue where the 990 always defaults to VideoInput1 whenever I powered it on with the 880. I then would push the same activity button a second time and everything worked properly. I just followed the link above from AndrewS and the solution offered by BrentG (just over halfway down on the page) worked for me. The only difference was that for the Power Off command I did not have a PowerOff, but chose PowerToggle instead.

I followed BrentG's steps, ran to the other room, grabbed the 880 and hooked it up to the computer and downloaded the new config. Then ran back to the other room and gave it a try. It came up just as it should.
Thanks to both AndrewS for the link, and to BrentG for posting Logitech's response. Now I'll no longer have to explain to people that they need to start an activity twice to get it to work.

Jeff
