These two systems operate completely independently of each other. In order to switch between the 2 channel and HT sides I have to swap the speaker cable leads at the speaker end. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Nice setup. There's a Model 990 and 7500 (based on your previous posts) in the left rack, but I'd be curious about what other gear you have. What do you think an equipment list to help identify the other goodies? I recognize the Scientific Atlanta cable box and Denon DVD player above it (and the Gamecube next to the center), but that's about as far as I could get.

Hi Gonk, I can do that. OK here goes:
Left equipment rack from the top shelf down:
Denon 3910 DVD player
Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR cable box
Outlaw Audio 990 PRE PRO
Outlaw Audio 7500 amp.
Cables are all by Signal Cable.
Speakers are as follows:
Front Mains = Tyler Acoustics System II's in a Redwood Burl finish.
Center = Tyler Acoustics Linbrook Center in the Redwood Burl Finish.
Rears = Soliloquy 6.2's in the Rosewood.
Subs = SVS PC Ultras there are 2 subs and each one resides in the corners behind the main speakers.
TV = Toshiba 50" RPTV HD
The right equipment rack from the top down is as follows:
Amp= Sonic Frontiers Power 2SE
CD player = Krell SACD Standard
Pre-Amp = Sonic Frontiers Line 2SE
Power Supply for Line 2 Pre amp
The bottom shelf is a BPT 10.5 power conditioner which powers the entire system.

The room treatments are all from Auralex.

How do you like the Denon 3910? That's on my "need to audition" list right now...

Kahuna--the 3910 has excellent reviews... this is true, but even the reviewer at Secrets of Home Theater Hi Fi suggested that we (I am interested as well) wait for HD DVD, unless you just have a room full of money for electronics (I don't--so I am waiting). Just a heads up!

The HD DVD (Toshiba) and Blue Ray (Sony) will be out quite soon anyway. They both have nice clean looks to them too!

PS--Nice set up!

Hi guys, I agree with TheDude regarding the Denon. I've had mine for 1.5 years now and it is a nice unit but it would probably behoove you to wait for the new machines to come out if money is an issue. The only problem I have with the unit is that it displays serious macroblocking during dark scenes when using progressive scan via the component outputs. I think this has to do with the DCDi by Faroudja. I had the same problems with my previous Philips 963 with the progressive scan. Perhaps the Faroudja chip doesn't mesh with my Toshiba set but I am staying away from machines with said chip in the future. I run my video via interlace and that produces a fantastic image. IMO.
Good luck.
