I'm considering a 990 and would like to know how much room is there between the "feet" on the bottom of the 990. I know the 990 is very deep and am trying to see if it can be situated in my current cabinet.

I don't mind if it sticks out the back, but I need to know if the rubber feet will fit on the base.

Mike

I'm at work at the moment, but I'll try to get a tape measure out this evening and figure out where the feet land in relation to the edges of the unit.

The 990 is 7.75" tall with the feet and the feet are at least .75" tall if I recall correctly. It is -one BIG pre processor!

Doing a casual measurement I found the feet to be 15 1/2 inches apart when measured from the outside ends and 14" when measured from the middle of the rear foot to the middle of the front foot.

It was hard to get good measurements on some of these dimensions due to how closed up my cabinet is, but I tried to collect a good set of numbers on the 990's footprint. As best as I can tell, the back edges of the feet are 0.5" to 0.75" in from the rear edge, but they're close to 2" wide so you could probably have the better part of an inch of rear overhang without getting into trouble. Below is a summary of my measurements from this morning (keeping in mind that I didn't measure the depth of the jacks themselves, cable connector and turning radius clearances are not addressed at all, and I took all these measurements with a 25' tape poked into a closed cabinet):
