I too just ordered my 990/7125 combo with PCA's and a few other cables. Now if only the Star Trek transporter was real..........

So you all talked me into it. I too ordered the 990/7125 combo today. I'll be stepping up from 2 channel to the world of surround. Couldn't find anything to make me happy in the two channel world so I built my own pre-amp (DC coupled), moving coil pre-amp and active crossover. It's unlikely I'll be doing this with digital. Current system is active crossover bi-amp with Adcom GFA-5500 and Sony SS-M7's on top and dual 10" drivers in acoustic suspension on the bottom, 80 Hz crossover. Very clean bass. Steve suggested I keep the crossover and use the front channels on large. I come from the land of modified Dynaco ST70's and haven't really done much in the way of upgrades since I put my current system together years ago. I would be interested in any tips in rounding it out. Godot . . . is waiting.

Ordered mine on monday as well and got shipping notice today for a thursday delivery  Ugh, I HATE waiting lol We all need to post our reviews tomorrow. Oh I also just packaged up my 1050 receiver that I've used for 5 years (sheds a tear). I'm headed to ups to ship it after work. It's like giving away my dog or something lol But at least I'm staying in the family w/ the 990/7125

The 990 arrived today! It looks like I've got to wait for the 7500, though, it is coming from CA.
I'm not selling the 1050 until everything is installed and singing. Hopefully all of the pieces will be here for the weekend.

Lucky duck. I'm now listening thru 2 crappy tv speakers. UGH, the next 24 hours is gonna be long...Oh, and the 1050 is now on the ups truck and out of my life. Goodbye old friend, you served me well and introduced me to the world of home theater. You will be missed (but probably not much when the 990 arrives)
