Hello all.. I just received my 990 yesterday and so far I love it. I did have a question on crossovers though.

Currently I am only running a 2 speaker/1 sub system. I will be purchasing a center and rears in the future. I have a pair of Paradigm Studio 100's driven bi-amped using an Anthem MCA-5 amplifier and a Paradigm Servo-12 Subwoofer. What should I be setting my crossover settings for with this type of setup?

Thanks for any help, so far everything in here has been usefull.

Tripps

We need more info on your speakers frequency response to get you in the ball park....but ultimatly, play with different settings (within the limits of your equipment) and see what sounds best to you.

Not sure exactly if this is what you are looking for, but I pulled this from Paradigm's website under the Frequency Response:

On-Axis (0°) ±2 dB from 44 Hz - 22 kHz
Off-Axis (30°) ±2 dB from 44 Hz - 20 kHz

If thats not it, let me know.

... and to follow on after Tripps' information, generally the best place to start, and where many people end after some experimenting, is about double the lower end of the specs or 80Hz by the specs given.

The -3dB point for the Studio 100's is 28Hz, and that's the point that is usually used as the basis for the add-an-octave "doubling" method of picking a crossover point. I'd recommend trying 60Hz first. You could also give 40Hz and 80Hz a try, but 60 is probably a good place to start.
