I just received my 990/7125 combo. I have read other people on this forum and comments in the manual about having a component connection to video source for OSD. I have done this and it's still not working. I have tried system resetting, unplugging dvi to both 990 and projector, etc.

The "Menu" fails to work from either front panel or remote, and the remote appears to frequently lock up. The only setting that will play the audio from the DVD player is "7.1 Direct" but this is only through the front two channels. I still have no signal to the projector. Nothing works! Please help!

Outlaw 990/7125 combo
Oppo 971 DVD player
Sanyo PLV-Z4 front Projector
HD cable box
Better Cable interconnects
Monster Cable HTS5000 MkII Line Conditioner

I have found that the other functions of the remote lock up when the menu has been selected.just because you can't see it on your display doesn't mean it is not activated.I haven't used the component inputs but if you have a composite or S-video input that should work for the menu to be displayed.
EDIT: when the remote locks try hitting menu once more and see if it functions again.

I will try this. Once I get OSD up and running hopefully things will be more straight forward.

The main menu is available over composite, s-video, and component video outputs, but it is not available over DVI.
