Set up my new 990 over the weekend. The remote can turn the unit "off" but not "on". Any suggestions ?

Ron,

Pressing one of the source buttons will turn the unit on and select that sourcem there is no "on button" per se. Also, to select the 990 on the remote you need to press the Tuner source button.

Yes, the remote turns on the 990, try pressing one of the source selection buttons on the remote when the 990 is off.

Well, that works just fine. While I have the help, does anyone out there use a DVDO scaling engine? If so, are you using the 990 to do your switching or are you feeding into 1 input and letting the DVDO do the switching ? I currently am doing the latter, but can see some potential advantges of using the 990. Would appreciate any input.
