I have the 990, but having kept my 950 in case I need to send back the 990 for softeware/hardware upgrade, I am concerned that the value of the 950 just dropped dramtically. Maybe I am wrong, but I would have liked to know a 950 replacementwas in the works, which would have influanced my decision to sell or keep the 950. Software wize, I am a little miffed that the 970 has wire by wire 7.1 bass management, either analog, digital or pure direct. We don't have this and the 1070 owners get a software update before us! IT might not even be pssible for the 990 (analog xover must be hardware based, no?) On the upside, perhaps now that they had the secret work done on the 970/1070 done maybe we can have some software update updates...

It would not be possible to add analog bass management to the 990 without a pretty significant hardware change. The 950's resale value has stayed remarkably high this fall (it actually went up after I sold mine back in May), so you probably still have a window of opportunity to sell if you want to - and an announcement of the 970 before now would have had the same effect on 950 resale value as this week's announcement. By the way, there was a post from Scott yesterday indicating that they are hard at work on a software update for us - don't know if you saw it or not.
