I set up the "Calibration" for HT. Now I need to understand 2CH Sub Offset.

Is this on top of the Subwoofer "Calibration", or is it that when your in "Upsample" mode, that the sub goes back to 0db - "2CH Sub Offset", and that is the output to the sub?

I ask, because when in the "Calibration" screen and listening to "Upsample", you see the Sub at ---, and you canot modify the setting.

Thanks... confused

Two channel sub offset is an adjustment that dials the subwoofer down by the specified amount when running in stereo mode - many people like to have less subwoofer presence when listening to stereo sources than when listening to surround sources.

Yes, I got that, but is the result...

Result = Calibration Sub - 2CH offset

or

Result = 0db - 2CH Offset

That is what is not clear.

The offset subtracts from the normal subwoofer trim, so:

Result = calibrated sub level - 2CH offset
