Alright Outlaws. Been looking for a long time and I'm finally ready to pull the trigger (pun intended :p Thanks to the folks in the Saloon for helping tip the scale for the 990.

I almost have my current pre sold (Sony TA-E9000ES) and want to avoid any down time for my HT. So, I am trying to coordinate the sale of my Sony w/ the arrival of my yet to be ordered 990. Selfish, I know, but we watch alot of movies in my house.

So my question is: What should I realistically expect for delivery from Outlaw once my order is placed? Oh yeah, I live in NH.

How long did you wait to get your 990?

I'd give the Outlaws a call, assuming you are talking about ground delivery times. The second day deliveries take basically that long, and they ship out quickly after you place the order.

I ordered my 990 on a Saturday the 10th of September and they shipped the following Monday. I understand Outlaw's warehouse is in Massachusetts. FedEx ground took five days to San Diego. NH should be a day or two.

Sweet! Thanks AvFan. I figured they would be shipping from AZ or NM or somewhere remote. And if I can order on a Saturday... looks like today could be the day.

My experience with other e-tailers has varied greatly, so I was wondering what others experience with Outlaw was. Sometimes you place an order, wait a few days, get shipping info., wait some more - heck, it can take two weeks from order to doorstep. Sounds like Outlaw is a pretty quick turnaround.

By the by, how do you like your new 990, AvFan? Easy to configure and set up?

I like the 990. It, along with five 2200s, is a significant improvement from the Pioneer Elite receiver I have. I thought I was going to do a lot of testing using the receiver/2200 amp combinations but after using the 990/2200 combo for a week I don't think I'll go to that effort. The 990 is very flexible and processes surround sound much better than my receiver. The 990 is a keeper.

Setup and configuring are straight forward and it is nice that the video inputs can be renamed. I tried the Auto Setup and did not get the best results in particular with my subwoofer. I did the speaker setup manually with a SPL meter and a tape measure and I like the results better. The manual does not say it but remember to set the main volume to 0dB when manually setting the speakers. Outlaw also gave me some suggestions on subwoofer settings that resolved the low bass level I first encountered.

Outlaw customer service has been very good. It is apparent that these folks like what they do. They never rush and they have answered all my questions.

If you order a 990 I think you will enjoy it.

Well, I finally ordered my 990... Monday night (10/3) to be exact. Today, I get shipping notification from Outlaw with a FedEx tracking number. I figure that's about right, couple days to process the order and get it on a truck, couple days delivery time, should have it Friday, right?

So, I check the FedEx tracking number online... guess what? The 990 is on a truck out for delivery TODAY!

My only fear now is that no one is home to sign for it!! I feel sick... maybe I'll have to leave work early...

Thats how long it took to get my 990 from the time I hung up the phone to the time it arrived on my doorstep.Un-freakin belivable...way to go outlaws!!!.
