I was wandering the 'net a bit this morning and stumbled across this - it would appear that the 990 snagged the Gold Award for Surround-Sound Preamp-Processors in Ultimate AV's 2005 Editor's Choice Awards. Nicely done!

I think it is interesting to note that the humble 990 priced at $1099 took the gold. If you want to step up to the next level get ready to shell out $9,000.00 for the platinum winner. I always liked gold better than platinum!
