Hi All,

I recently bought a travel case for my Xbox &
I thought man: this would be great to have
a kind of sophisticated case for moving
stereo equipment when moving from one house to
another for example. I hate keeping boxes around
for moving purposes but it's a necessary evil.

Any chance of having a case built for the 990 or
for generic stereo equipment?

Thanks,

Your best bet is to look into the companies that make "ATA Rated" cases that the roadies use for sound equipment on tours. THere are any number of them -- but they ain't cheap!

Absolutely. I've got one of these cases for a digibeta video editing deck and it got dropped about 6ft from a loading dock to concrete pavement. The case got a minor dent in one of the corner caps and the deck was safe and sound. I can't remember the brand name, but I walked into a Sam Ash with the dimensions and said I had fancy sequencer gear that needed to be ape proof for the road. $200 later, that's what I got. 8-)

Cheers,

By the way, how do you like the Aquos?

I love it. I originally had the 26" version when we were living in a smallish apartment and then bought the 32" when we got a house with a large living room. I probably spent a month or two doing side by side comparisons with various LCD sets and I think the Aquos has the best picture in that size range.

Chances are that I'm going to upgrade again to either the 37" or maybe check out the new LG 40" unit that just came out. Prices on LCDs are dropping like a stone. 8-)

Cheers,
