Strange Problem: Input Selection "Freezes"

Has anyone else encountered the following problem?
After being on a particular input for a few hours (eg CD), the 990 no longer will respond to remote ir commands at all.
After a minute or so in which there is no signal on the CD input, then the 990 will again respond perfectly to IR.
I am very aware of IR interference, (we do custom install work), but I am very confident that this is not the case here.
Just wondered if anyone else has had their 990 at times not respond at all to ir commands once in awhile.

Yes, I've seen the same thing, but haven't had enough experience with the unit to know if there is a pattern.

At least I know it is not my imagination...
It seems to happen rarely, but it does indeed occur.
Wonder how many others have seen the problem?

Has anyone else encountered the occasional lack of response to ir commands, with the 990 freezing for several minutes (not seconds).
During such freezes, there is no response to ANY ir commands. Then, after two minutes or so, the 990 again responds to ir....
An odd problem indeed.
