I don't think you understood my question.
Typical "pro audio" equipment operates at +4db (1.23 volts). Typical "consumer" equipment operates at -10 db (0.316 volts). The 990's manual states that the preout level is 1 volt (page 49). If you connect the 990 to an amp with an input sensitivity of +4 db then you will not get get full power from your amp at full signal from the 990. Therein lies my question - what do you do about the difference in input sensitivity? On the other hand, the 7100 amp specs state a 1.00 volt input sensitivity while the 755 and 770 amps state an input sensitivity of 1.43 volts so maybe theres something I'm missing here.
