Can I run the balanced and unbalanced main l&r out at the same time?

Ideally I would love to get the upsampled D/A out of the rec out- to use with my PS audio GCC100 amp- but it seems like the 990 won't do that.

I have used the balanced out (which even with genric XLR mic cables sounded better than unbalanced solid silver cables) and turned the 990's volume all the up to 0db gain so it was not attenuating , and using the volume control of my PS Audio GCC100 amp-

Obviously not using the 990;s volume control at all would be preferable- but doesn't seem like theres any way to do that - use it as a staight d/a with line out.
