How do you connect 2 subs to an amplifier with one sub output? I am building a new home theater room and need to prewire, what is the best wire to install for the subs? The runs will be about 10' and 30'.

Are these powered subs? If so, all that you would need is an RCA splitter cable at the sub output.

did you post this somewhere else? no need to repost again.... i answered this question already. you need some ics with good shielding. i would recommend some kind of conduit (not metal) to run the cable through the wall with.

What is ics? I know that there are special cables made for connecting subwooers, can the cable be bought in varying lenghts and the connectors added after it is installed in the wall or do they have to be bought in pre-made lengths?

ICs are interconnects -- analog audio cables. You can buy pre-made subwoofer cables (which are essentially the same as the analog cables connecting your other components, only longer), of you can buy wire and plugs and make your own. Soundhound put up a pretty handy tutorial on making your own analog cables in this thread .

you can install buy custom length cables with whatever termination that you want. there are a number of options for pre-wiring a house. you can buy connector plates for both ends of the ic, etc. whatever you prefer and want...
