I found a use for my trigger 2 in the 7.1 mode or the pass through mode.Niles makes an A/B switcher that uses 12vdc. I was using a passive switch box to toggle between mono poles for SACD rears and dipoles for movies.Once I switch to 7.1 on the 990 it automatically swithes my surround speakers to mono poles which are identical to the mains and center .How cool is that.Price for the box from niles 79.00 .It's the Niles SPK-1.It just keeps getting better.

How do you set and remember volume levels for the separate speaker types?

They are quite close as I have a small room.I use dipoles 80% of the time.When I listen to SACD or DVD-A I readjust as needed.So far it seems to workout ok.To switch sources and have that niles device switch with trigger2 rules.I just created another video source using the optical output of my DVD player so I can switch surrounds as needed for different type movies.
