Does anyone have the file (.mxf?) for the 990 to download into my HTM 850 (Aeros)?
I just got my 850 remote, and I don't can't find a file for the 990.
Gonk, you probably have one for your 500 remote, right?
Programing this remote will be a new, and no doubt challenging experience for me. Any advice apprecitated. Already, I gotta get a USB to serial adapter to use the programming cable. For some reason, my PC's serial port won't work.

I don't have one for the MX-500 (no convenient software interface, although there was the IR-clone that's now discontinued). I did recently upgrade the den to an MX-700, which uses the same file as an MX-850. I've got a generic 990 file that includes the zone 2 remote, and Jed M also made one .

I used it on an 850, works fine. Thanks Gonk or Jed, not sure which one I have...

The one I have does not use the actual off button to turn off the 990, its on page two. When I get a moment I am going to do some "850" enhancements to it.

Sounds like you have Jed's - I've got an "OFF" button on the first page at the top left (although I always use the "off" macro that shuts off the TV and cable box as well).

Yeah, thats mine. I use the macro off so I didn't really think about it. Sorry about that. I was trying to get all of the inputs on the first page. Using the MX editor you can press the "3. lcd editor" button and click and drag the lcd buttons where you want them.

Oh, and my 990 is due to arrive today. Not that I'm excited about that or anything
