What is the maximum delay the lip synch can do? Is it capable of 300ms or more?

I think it cuts off around 200ms or 250ms.

I agree. There are times when I need a greater delay. I would have thought the max would be at least 500ms, if not a full second. Perhaps in a future software upgrade?

I'm just on the waiting list for my 990 so my question is not first-hand, but I'm really curious about when 1/4 - 1/3 second delay isn't enough. What kind of source material are you using? What equipment? (If this is covered in other threads, I apologize in advance for any repetition.)

I've just hung my HD2K projector. It will be fed by the Algolth Dragonfly scaler/processor due out in a few weeks. The Algolith HDMI Mosquito video noise reducer is due in August and I plan on using it. These two video processors will add a 300ms delay, maybe more. I'll wire as follows:

Video Chain = Source -> Mosquito -> Dragonfly -> 990 - Projector

Audio Chain = Source -> 990 w/delay

Yike. That's a serious delay. Drop Outlaw a line about it - if the max delay is what I'm thinking it is (and it may not be, since I've never had to go higher than about 25ms) and there's enough interest in a longer delay, maybe they can look into the software and change the max delay (assuming the hardware will allow it). After all, that's what the USB and RS-232 ports are there for. smile

I think the max delay is 250 mS, but in most cases that ought to be enough. To be honest, I can't think of many products on the market now have considerably less and I can't think of any that have more.

I'd bet that there really isn't any way for them to increase it with a sofware upgrade as the amount of available delay is related to the hardware issue of memory.

Why do you ask? Is there a sync issue with the software on that disc?
