The manual refers to "set the sw's crossover control to an active position before running autosetup. After running autosetup, reconfigure the sw's crossover option to your desired behavior"

What exactly does this mean?? Is this saying that the crossover control can be set to ANY setting, prior to running autosetup??

Would appreciate any feedback on this, and/or any recommendations as to what to set the LFM-1 to, for the most accurate overall room readings.

This note may be in reference to the fact that the 990's sub test tone appears to be full range. I'd suggest setting the LFM-1's crossover control knob to a point above the highest crossover you plan to use (for example, if your highest crossover will be your surround backs at 120Hz, set the LFM-1's crossover to maybe around 150Hz) and flip the crossover switch to "ACTIVE". This will allow the LFM-1 to filter out the high frequency data in the test tone. After the setup is done, flip the switch back to "BYPASS" and let the 990 handle the crossovers.
