I just received (12:20 EST 5/12) a message from Outlaw that I they've reached my place in the queue. I got my reservation confirmation from Outlaw on 4/17/05 at 9:44 (44 minutes after they started taking reservations).
The order goes in as soon as I submit this - both a 990 & a 7100. I haven't been this excited in awhile - multichannel is finally hitting my home!

I, also, received my iniviation to order today, May 12, at 12.25 est. The order was place with minutes after receiving the inivitation. I entered the wait list at 7:00 est on April 17, one hour after opening.
Since I was not in the first group of invites, I believe that this supports that the order process is being batched.

Its nice to see I am wrong sometimes, and that there was no correlation between the number of available units/and the first batch of invites.
Remember, optimists are never pleasantly surprised, as I, the pessimist, am now.... Congrats you guys...

See, now when it turns out that the first hour was just really busy because some of us are just overly paranoid, and that there were only 4 people who signed onto the list between 7:00est and Monday morning, you will be pleasantly surprised.
If you were an optimist and thought that now, think how disappointed you would be if it wasn't true...

No, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be. (Sorry, old engineering joke...)

I got my email yesterday as well. I've already pulled the trigger on my bank account & ordered it. I've got a poweramp & 2 speakers being controlled by a Lite On DVD recorder, which is having sent an optical out to a TDK cd recorder, so the TDK can 'drive' the monoblocks. It sounds good, but this simply will not stand! It's a real pain not having a preamp. More speakers, amps to follow.. My big struggle lately is the wiring. Cheap versus expensive or commercial grade. Or DIY.

Well I had to pass on my reservation due to budget concerns, and a low WAF. But....my wife ended on the reservation list as well. She went ahead and pulled the trigger, and I am getting the 990 as an early birthday gift. As we speak, the 990 is due to be here thursday.....
Looks like thursday will be a good day, Start the Day with Star wars Ep. 3, and then get my 990. looking good!!
Props to the wife, (lucky me!!)

As I mentioned when I started this thread, I received my option to buy on May 12th, I did so right away. Today the 990 came in, it is indeed a beast. Unfortunately, the 7100 was shipped from California, so it won't be here for another day or so. I just ordered a bunch of cables as this is my first multi-channel setup. I hope to have something running this weekend.....

I selected Ground. I purchased on May 12th. According to FedEx tracking records, Outlaw sent the info to FedEx on the 12th, FedEx picked it up on the 13th (from Easton, MA)and it was delivered yesterday. Pretty quick turn around (4 days), including a weekend. The 7100, on the otherhand, was picked up by FedEx on the 12th in Pomona, CA. Delivery should be sometime soon, it's on the local truck now. Oh, I live in the Washington, DC area.

Interesting, my 990 came out of Pomona, CA. I wonder if the outlaws split the 990 shipment between east and west coast? My 990 shipped from Pomona on 5/13 and arrive in Washington (state) yesterday. When I purchase my 7100, last month, it also shipped out of Pomona.
