I just received (12:20 EST 5/12) a message from Outlaw that I they've reached my place in the queue. I got my reservation confirmation from Outlaw on 4/17/05 at 9:44 (44 minutes after they started taking reservations).

The order goes in as soon as I submit this - both a 990 & a 7100. I haven't been this excited in awhile - multichannel is finally hitting my home!

I, also, received my iniviation to order today, May 12, at 12.25 est. The order was place with minutes after receiving the inivitation. I entered the wait list at 7:00 est on April 17, one hour after opening.

Since I was not in the first group of invites, I believe that this supports that the order process is being batched.

Its nice to see I am wrong sometimes, and that there was no correlation between the number of available units/and the first batch of invites.

Remember, optimists are never pleasantly surprised, as I, the pessimist, am now....
Congrats you guys...

See, now when it turns out that the first hour was just really busy because some of us are just overly paranoid, and that there were only 4 people who signed onto the list between 7:00est and Monday morning, you will be pleasantly surprised.

If you were an optimist and thought that now, think how disappointed you would be if it wasn't true...

If it's anything like the 950 reservation list, there is a large cluster of reservations in the first hour, then a much lighter load overnight. Some of the posts after the list went live seemed to correspond with this, too - we've seen lots of people who signed up in the first 20 minutes, fewer (but still a noticeable number) who popped in between then and the one hour mark, but almost nobody between then and the next day. So maybe the glass is half full instead of half empty. Or maybe it's cracked and has a slow leak... wink

No, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
(Sorry, old engineering joke...)

I got my email yesterday as well. I've already
pulled the trigger on my bank account & ordered
it. smile I've got a poweramp & 2 speakers being
controlled by a Lite On DVD recorder, which is
having sent an optical out to a TDK cd recorder,
so the TDK can 'drive' the monoblocks. It sounds
good, but this simply will not stand! It's
a real pain not having a preamp. More speakers,
amps to follow..

My big struggle lately is the wiring. Cheap
versus expensive or commercial grade. Or DIY.
