The 990 can now be ordered. The owners manual is on site. Now is the time to release the beta testers. We would all like to hear from them.

They may not release the testers this time, for whatever reason. If they were going to, I'd have expected them to have done so by now. After all, in a couple of weeks (maybe sooner), it will be irrelevent because there will be bunches of production units in people's hands.

Maybe the testers won't be released this time. Or maybe the testers just don't want to be identified. After all the abuse the 950 testers took, could you blame them?

Ditto what Owl's Warder said. I am not a beta tester, but if I were I would keep quiet too. I couldn't believe RAF and Merc were still taking abuse when the 990 was announced.

It seems that the units will be arriving at real consumers' homes soon, so maybe this will all be moot when we (hopefully) hear from a larger group of owners, not testers.
