Remember yesterday afternoon's reports of trouble processing orders? Clearly, a lot of us went directly from our mail client to our web browser and started hammering on their web server. It's entirely possible that Outlaw is trying to spread out the invitations to place orders so that they don't have too great a surge of traffic at once. In that case, the "now available" e-mails for the first shipment's stock would end up going out in smaller, controlled batches over the course of several days. We'll have to see if another batch drops tonight.

Some how I missed that. When was notice given that the second shipment was on the way?

It was in the "Your 990 is now available!" e-mail. Here's the relevent paragraph:

I'm not 100% sure, but I got my waitlist confirmation about 9:50 EST April 17th, within the 1st hour. I have not received an order invitation.

I keep telling myself, don't be desperate, don't be desperate.

Doesn't work.

I put my order in this morning. The latest email from Outlaw indicating the "990 is now available" said

"We will not charge your credit card until 24 hours before the order actually ships."

I've been watching my credit card account today and the charges have been posted. So that should mean the 990/755 is shipping tomorrow. I could receive them by Saturday. I'm ready. I've been ready for about 2 years.

I'm looking forward to posting my experience with the equipment.

One thing to note, even though I may be the only one who experienced this: Even though I did receive a confirmation email while I was having all of those problems with the web site last night, an email from Outlaw indicated my order did NOT in fact go through, so I had to place it again today.

You should receive two emails from them upon successful completion of the order (one from orders@outlawaudio.com and one from orderdesk@outlawaudio.com). I only had received the orderdesk email last night.

Unfortunately I've got a few other expenses at the moment which precluded me from purchasing a 770 to go along with the 990. The combo pricing was pretty good (looked like a $200 discount). Does anyone know if they offer that discount after the fact? I bought a 950 and now a 990, but have never applied any "family discount" to the purchases. I'll probably be ready for a new amp when my room construction is completed in a couple months...

Just checked my bank and it looks like the transaction has posted. I've never been so excited to see three grand disappear from my bank account! What a bummer it will be if the components come in staggered shipments, though. Here's hoping I won't have to stare at either the 7100 or the 990 for a day or two while waiting for the balance of the shipment to arrive!

My account was also charged. So it is very possible my 990 is on its way!
