The new Sony VPL-HS51 (6000:1 contrast ratio)with a short (3ft) component video cable and a completely dark room. I had a 20' cable, but I found it reduced the signal enough that there was a difference in the brightness. Its HDTV, so the size can be a bit deceiving if you are use to NTSC, which 96" is pretty big in that format. I use to have a 96" NTSC screen in my last HT which used a Outlaw 1050, but I sold it with the house.

This screen I think is 78" high. I am using a 1.3 gain screen and the image is killer. Contrast ratio is outstanding. The contrast ratio is so high that in a dark scene you cannot visual figure out where the edge of the screen is if the blacks go to the edge of the screen.
