Hey Guys,

I just noticed the 950 being moved into the discontinued area of the Outlaw Website! I hope this is NOT the case. I see no reason that Outlaw can not have a lower priced pre-amp and a higher priced one. I was planning on buying a 950/770 combo in the next few months. It will be sad to have to spend several hundred more dollars on features I dont feel I need. Anyone know the long term plans for our 950???

They mentioned that I saw a post from someone at the HE Show who said that Outlaw had announced that they were sold out of 950's and would be making no more. That means that for now the 990 is the only pre-amp they've got. The 1070 may offer a less expensive alternative in the near future, at least...

There are a number of 950 owners planning on purchasing a new 990, so hopefully you can pick one up used.

elikd, the number of 950s on eBay has picked up recently (still rare), but I expect that the new 990 will produce a number of "sell-ups". You should be able to get a good 950 for $500 or even less.

There are three 950's for sale on Audiogon, all offered between $500 and $550. I'd be willing to bet that one of them is gonk's.
