Hello,
I am in the works of purchasing a 1050 this week. However I have a few questions before hand. I'm kind of new to this. Only real things I've seen people complain about this receiver is 1) limited digital inputs, and no DP or PLII ? ?. Not quite clear on the component video switching, and whether I would need it or not.
How will the limited digital inputs affect me ? My setup will consist of
1) Sony DualCassette
1) Sony DVD player w/o decoder (unless you think I need one)
1) Sony HiFi 4 head VCR
1) Turntable ( yes I still use this, but know outlaw doesn't provide a phono input so I'll use an auxillary input i guess)
Speakers,
2 Polk RT 55i's
2 Polk R10's
1 Polk CS245i Center
Sub still in the air thinking of going with SVS 20-39CS (1)
I don't have a tv with any type of inputs as of yet, but will later in the year. Probably a HDTV of some sort. Will the 1050 accomodate for my devices plus a HDTV down the road ?? I just don't want to be purchasing a receiver that will soon be out of date ? ? I was just looking at the Denon 2802 on their site. Looks nice, but I know the insides are not as stealth as the 1050. Thanks in advance ,
Jay-1
