Would like to add that my DVD player is Multi-Region Multi System (does not convert) my TV is an older Sony that has both NTSC and PAL as well as SECAM capabilities.
My current receiver is a Yamaha DSP-A3090 and I do not think it is multi system. In which case I guess my question was stupid. But I am not sure about my current receiver.
