How can I send a 12 volt signal from my (non 12-volt trigger equipped) Arcam Delta 290 to my (12-volt trigger equipped) Panamax 5100?

If it has neither, then you're not going to be able to do anything to create a trigger for your Panamax (at least without major surgery). The only option I know of for triggering without a switched outlet or a 12V trigger is something like the Craftsman 24031 auto switch. You could potentially use one of these and an AC adapter to trigger something - an AC adapter rated for 9V or 12V will produce a constant DC "signal" that can serve as a trigger. It's not a trick I've ever tried, but others have done it with the switched outlets on receivers.

Thanks gonk. That Craftsman switch is a good idea, but I don't want to bypass my Panamax with inferior switching. I wonder if it would be possible to tap into the power supply and then use a transformer to convert that to DC? Just a thought, I'm no expert.

It's probably possible (might need an extra transformer in the mix to get the right trigger strength), but it's also one that you'd need to be an expert to attempt.

I'm going with a 2150. It gives me a trigger, a lot of options and the clincher, a dedicated sub-out with a crossover. It's just to good not to get. Thanks for the help.
