June is more than the month when summer begins. Thanks to graduations, weddings and Father's Day it is a month full of celebrations and special occasions. This year, the Outlaws are bringing their own celebration to the mix.

Since it's introduction a few months ago, listener reaction to The Outlaw Bookshelf Loudspeaker has been great. However, until now, supplies of this superb product have been limited while the factory has gone through the learning curve of individually adjusting each speaker to within ½ db of our reference standard. With the production line now running smoothly, we decided to mark the occasion with a special June promotion.

We also know that many of you are waiting for reviews before auditioning these amazing speakers. A number of reviews are in the works, but it will be some time before they appear in print or online. The reason for this is simple, but it may not be apparent to those outside the consumer electronics industry. With more than 450 brands competing in the speaker category, the number of offerings is more competitive than for any other product category. Everyone wants press for their speakers.

Even when a product is accepted for review, the process is more time consuming than with standard electronic components. Thoughtful evaluations may take up to two weeks of a critic's time while the speakers are analyzed with a wide variety of program material, and sources, and then compared to the reviewer's own favorite loudspeaker models. It is not uncommon for it to take up to three or more months from the first submission to seeing the final review published, in print or online.

While we wait for the professional reviews, we want to get The Outlaw Bookshelf Loudspeaker into the hands of as many of you as possible. This will give you the opportunity to compare these audiophile grade speakers to those currently in your system, in a listening environment you know well, rather than depending on someone else's opinions. As with all of the Outlaw products, you have thirty days to review them in your own home. Why wait for the reviews when you can evaluate them yourself on your own "test bench"?
