Would the ICBM be beneficial in conjunction with a Yamaha RX-V1??? I do not have a SACD unit as of yet. This would be used strictly for management of 2-channel stereo and DVD play back in 5.1 Thanks.....Mike......

Unless you are using the RX-V1 purely as a pre/pro with a separate amplifier (which seems unlikely), the ICBM will be of little or no use. If you are using it as a receiver (by which I mean that you're using it's amp section to drive your speakers), you will only be able to use the ICBM for a single analog input (either a 5.1 input from the internal decoder of a DVD player or a 2-channel analog input from a CD player). Probably not really benficial unless you add an external amp or add a DVD-Audio or SACD player.
