There was much discussion on this subject a few months back. But from what I am reading the specs are true with a few exceptions.First Outlaw recommends a 20 amp circut dedicated. That would equal 2400 watts max that could be drawn. But it is rated at 1800 max for both amps. Why is this? One is 5 channel the other 7 all the specs are the same except for weight. The 5 channel specs make sense to me, but the seven channel does not. Can some explain this to me ? 5x200=1000 watts(8 ohms)5x300=1500(ohms)ok this is fine well under the 1800 max rating. The 7 channel 7x200=1400 watts,But 7x300=2100 watts exceeds the rating max of 1800 watts.2100 is possible with a 20amp circut , but exceeds the 1800 rated max. Why?
If someone can explain this in laymans terms it would help alot.I have a very basic idea of electricity. But not much please keep it simple.I just wonder how they arrived at these specs.

I think the plug they use is only UL rated for 15 amps. 15x120 = 1800. Or is it 15x110? Maybe 15x115? What is the standard voltage in this country anyway?

IIRC the 'standard' nominal voltages commonly found in the USA are 120/207/240/277/480 at 60 Hz.
