My remote won't control the 1050 anymore, though it still works on my CD player, DVD player and TV that I'd programmed earlier into it. The only component it won't work on is the 1050.

Last night I finished watching a DVD, shut-off the system using the remote and then powered it off from the mains. This morning the remote refuses to talk to 1050.

Since its working on other components, I'm not sure if the problem is with remote or the 1050 unit itself. However, other than remote operation, everything else seems to be normal on the 1050.

Any help is appreciated.

From what you describe, I'd be surprised if the remote is at fault, but it certainly can't be ruled out. I suppose that if the batteries were getting low, then the signal might be weak enough to work with only some components, so maybe a change of batteries will help. One option that might also be worth trying is resetting the 1050 (resetting involves unplugging the unit for approximately 24 hours). Another thought is to toss a question Outlaw's way through their support site .

thanks gonk. I tried with new batteries, didn't work. I'll try the reset procedure and if things don't work out, contact support this Monday.

I'd definitely get in touch with Outlaw - if it's a hardware problem with the remote, they should be able to offer some suggestions for getting you back on track.
