Has anyone used the IR output on their 1050? How does it work? I can't seem to find any instructions on it. Do I just connect a blaster to it? What signals get sent?

Thanks for any input!
Jeff

It is sad that my answers are often this way, but the best reference I've had on this is this page courtesy of the forum's most prolific contributor, gonk. Though it refers to a setup using a 950, the principle should be the same.

The 1050's IR input likely mimics the 950's IR input (and likely the 1070's IR input as well, although the 990's input is different). I haven't tried it, but I would suspect that the IR output could be used to pass along any signals received by the 1050 to an IR emitter such as the ones in the link sluggo posted. It might even work in place of the IR sensor with a distribution block, but it probably wouldn't hurt to run it past the Outlaws before trying it.
