I can access every other parameter except the fast forward/rewind options. I've tried everything but can't figure it out. Any tips? It's a NS775 model. I've tried pausing then hitting next track and that doesn't work. I've also tried holding the next track button down instead of just clicking it. Something has to work.

The Sony remote has separate chapter up/down buttons and FF/rewind buttons, so holding down the chapter buttons (which I would have also tried) should not work. The 1050's remote does not have separate "chapter/track" and "FF/rew" buttons - it's been a few years (like about 3) since I used that remote, but I think with my Panasonic that the channel up/down buttons acted as chapter controls and the transport keys' "<<" and ">>" buttons acted as FF and rew. Have you tried the channel up/down buttons? It's possible that the two functions are reversed in this case for some reason.

Thanks gonk. The channel buttons DO act as next/previous track. Pressing pause then channel does nothing. The transport keys do nothing. What's weird is the actual fast forward/rewind buttons do nothing as well. Are there any alternate Sony codes available that may do the trick?

I didn't mention the most important thing. I do not have a remote for my sacd player. That's why I got such a good deal on it. $70 from Best Buy.

Me again. I found an old thread with some alternate codes. Guess who supplied them? Yup it's gonk again. I'll try those now.

You should be able to find an original....I have a used JVC tv which came with a Moteva replacement. It does 95% of the functions for the set. I found original replacements on JVC's website but don't think it is worth the $30!

I use the 1050's remote for the 1050(duh!), my Toshiba VCR, my Pioneer Laserdisc player, my Yamaha 5-disc CD changer and sometimes to power up/down and change channels on the tv.

I use the supplied remote for my Pioneer 563a universal DVD/SACD/DVD-A player.

I was using the 1050 remote last night to operate the tv, and my wife got upset because she had the other remote and felt I "overrided" her!!
