Question... does anyone else who has this dvd notice any problems with sound syncing?

the video seems to be about 1/4 - 1/2 second ahead of the audio.... It is especially obvious when they are recreating Lilu and the wormy doctor guy is talking...

It could be my dvd player (older Sony dvp-s300) playing through coax... I may switch to optical if I notice the problem on any other dvd... but that would really be odd if that helped

It is probably your DVD player. Sonys are notorious for their lip sync issues.

I have both the regular and Superbit versions and have many friends that also have this movie. Noone has ever noticed a problem.

Then again, none have Sony dvd players. We are a small Pioneer Elite fanatics group..LOL

Even some of the older Pioneer players had the "lip sync" issue. I had an early 414 that had the problem. Firmware update fixed it.

Well... it appears to actually be the DVD... I just watched Star wars ep. 1 and LOTR and something else and the audio has been syncing correctly with those... ohwell.. I'm planning on upgrading the player eventually anyway

Welp, I've upgraded my TV and dvd player.. and the problem with this dvd is gone...

as an aside, the Toshiba 32hf72 is an absolutely beautiful set.. I also picked up toshiba's sd-4800 dvd player and everything improved audio and video....

Congrats on the video upgrade! That is always so exciting. Still could have been the Sony glitching (I feel) rather than the disc being the culprit.

At one time when first offered about 1 1/2 yrs ago,...now they are on closeout sale. (and I bought one for my mother). I tried a Sony Progressive ...something 15 model. ..12 bit video ...nice pic...but this particular unit was a lemon...major skip episodes. It did also display a voice sync issue at least twice during my demo time, which could often be aliveated by restarting the dics. Weird, that I gave it another shot, for my Mothers system as it was cheap on closeout and thought the pic was good at that price. With this one, Mom has not reported seeing any freeze ups or out of sync issues as yet.

I've seen enough posts out and around to cause me to wonder if Sony still (can have) issues with synch, but just my general feeling.
