My current pre-amp has switched & unswitched outlets on it, which trigger my amps on through a Adcom(ACE-515 line enhacer)that is also plugged into the wall socket for the main power. Since the 950 has no power outlets! I'm thinking I would have to use a power inverter like is used to power AC equipment from automobiles to run between the 950 and the ACE-515. Does this make any sense?
Does anyone have any other way to trigger my ACE-515 when the 950 is turned on?

A Niles OTI-512 will do the trick. The only draw back is it will cost you around a hundred dollars.

Actually, there are a number of ways to power the enhancer. Companies such as Niles and Xantach make a line of AC power control boxes with triggers from a variety of sources.

As an example, you can buy a trigger-controlled box that plugs into the trigger jack on the 950 which, in turn, controls the relay operated on/off for an AC outlet. Similar products that are designed for use with devices that do not have a low-voltage trigger sense the presence (or absence) of either audio, video or AC line current on a "master" product (the 950 or your DVD player in this case) to operate the AC supply trigger. Custom install types have been using this sort of set-up for many years.

But what do I know, I'm only a dog?

Now I'm even happier with my new 950.
I wired up a automotive 12VDC 30amp relay to
trigger my line enhancer, which turns my amplifiers on. I use the 12VDC trigger from the 950 to switch the 120VAC. The only cost I incurred was the $3.12 for the relay, as I already had a mono 3.5mm cord.
Cooking now.
