Heyaz! I just ordered a 950 so I'm in the club! It replaces my Pioneer Elite vsx-41...very similar if not identical to the 811s. I have an ATI 1506 6 channel amp on loan to me. Eventually, I'll replace it with Outlaw's 7 channel amp but in the meantime:

Is the 950's rear surround channel mono? (I'm assuming it is)

What is the best way to use the rear surround channel(s) with the 6 channel amp?

If it's mono, can I just use 1 of the 2 outs to the amp and connect both of my rear surround speakers to the amp? That's how I have it rigged on my current setup. The only difference is the Pioneer only has 1 out for the rear surround.

Any help would be appreciated.

1) Yep, the surround back is mono.

2) The speaker setup screen includes an option to have no surround back, two surround back, or just one surround back. If you do the latter, you connect the left surround back channel to your amp for the single surround back speaker (or to your amp channel that is driving two speakers, as in your case) and you're good to go. This is what I'm doing, actually.
