My "audio consultant" recommended the Outlaw 950 for a unique home theatre I am installing. I intend to hook up 3 McIntosh MC75s tube amps to power the fronts, and 2 McIntosh MC30s to power the rears. My sub is self-powered. Has anyone out there connected McIntosh tube amps to the 950, and how does it sound? (I will be using B&W Nautilus speakers in the front and center, and B&W CDM SNTs for the rear) My second question is whether I will need a separate preamp in order to use a turntable. Can I use a McIntosh tube preamp (either a C-20 or C-22 ) with the 950 to make the turntable work? I have seen mixed reviews on this unit, but if the hiss is fixed, it seems perfect. Additionally, I have seen the debate about tubes vs semis, but I'll stick with my McIntoshs. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU IN ADVANCE.
