I'd forgotten about Soundhound's "950 Listening challenge" from a while back. The thread has now, annoyingly, been moved to the archives so I'll have to start it again here.

I just found one of the original discs under a pile of magazines in my apartment... I remember the agreement was to send it on to whoever wanted it after listening to it, but I'd apparently forgotten I'd had it.

So, if anyone wants this disc, let me know by posting here and I'll snail mail it to you.

what is the disk?

If it's not copyrighted, we could put an image of the disk somewhere so people could burn it.....

Here is a page with some information about the challenge. I had a copy of the track as a .wav file (90+MB) up on my site for a while, but needed the disk space for some other files and took it down.

UPDATE:

Soundhound was apprehended while attempting to enter Tijuana on a mule, loaded with what was initially identified as hundreds of back issues to "Stereophile". He put up a terrible struggle with local police. He was overheard by several locals, screaming incoherently "16 bits is enough". Police do not know what to make of this statement, but are treating it with extreme caution. He is being held in San Diego hospital, under mental obversation.

FURTHER UPDATE:

Sadly, there is no word on the fate of the accordion...
