Hello all,
First post here. I am glad to see that there is a board devoted to this great piece of equipment. I have owned my 1050 for close to 2 years and haven't had a single problem, until now. Well, except for the volume knob not working so well, but that is a known problem.

Here is my problem:
None of the buttons on the front panel do
anything when pressed!
Example: pressing Power makes no difference. The only thing that responds is volume, and even that doesn't work normally (never did). The "soft" (remote control) buttons work
fine.
Also, it is very difficult to make out what is displayed on the LED panel. It is as if all of the segments are lit, but the ones that are supposed to be lit are a little brighter.
Other than the front panel problems, the receiver seems to be working fine.
I have searched the archives here and found a couple of suggestions that I will try tonight - checking fuse, pulling power cord.
I am curious if anybosy else has any ideas of what could cause this?

There is a reset button behind the volume knob that might also be worth trying, if you haven't already.

Unlike the Model 950, the 1050 does not have a reset switch behind the volume control. However, the 1050 can be reset by leaving it disconnected from the power source for 24 hours. Please feel free to contact me if this does not resolve the issue you are experiencing.

Best,

Scott

Issue Resolved!

First, I tried shutting off power from the switch on the back of the unit. I switched it back on after 30 seconds and this made no difference.

Next, I unplugged the unit for about 10 minutes, then plugged it back in and pressed the power button - everything was back to normal!

Also, last night I received an email from Outlaw Customer Service. They had read my post and suggested that I fool around with the Source Selection buttons just above the volume control. Sometimes one of these will stick in, causing what happened to me. I replied, thanking them for the help - that is awesome customer service!
