BOUTIQUES

True they don’t like THAT word do they. But I’ve seen them sneak in the door if the boutique dealer has a high end esoteric model they can’t hear at any other location when well-fortified by a couple margaritas.

{In his best John Wayne impression}

A real man doesn't use those wimpy Good-fer nothin' boo-teek wires...a real man uses his jumper cables that he took off of his truck to connect his ster-E-o.

Now ya'll ged outt-a here before I lose my patience with tha' lot-a' you.

REAL men buy their wire in dingy, dusty, dirty electronic surplus stores.

REAL men build their own equipment from World War II surplus parts purchased in that surplus electronic surplus store.

REAL men take their wives with them to help them rummage through the old surplus capacitors, reisitors, tubes, and switches, and help them carry 100 pounds of junk out of the store.

REAL men love the smell or solder rosin.

REAL men have a HAM radio set stored somewhere in their house.

REALLY RUGGED MEN have several of them stacked in their living room.

REAL men make their wives climb their radio tower to aim their antennas for them.

REAL men have TUBE TESTERS.

One thing I did forget to ask. Is the green power button on the 950 supposed to luminate? The one on my 750 amp does, but possibly the newer products do not contain this feature?

The green button on the 750 lights up, but the power buttons on the 950 and 1050 do not (they have the standby light below them and the display to indicate when they're on).
